The United States in 2021 is facing an unprecedented drought crisis.

According to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Drought Monitor Program, as of July 7, 93% of the land in seven western U.S. states was under drought conditions, while nearly 59% was in the most severe “exceptional drought”. Prior to that, no year on record had ever seen a drought as high as that number.

As the drought becomes more severe, U.S. states are under the stress of facing the danger of massive mountain fires. Forest fires have been infesting the western United States for a long time, and have become…

Why is the United States, which has almost never been invaded on its own soil, seemingly always at war?

With the joint decision by the U.S. and Taliban’s leaders to implement the Doha Agreement, which was reached by a slim consensus in 2020, U.S. forces have been withdrawing combat troops from Afghanistan. The U.S. armed forces have been stationed in this landlocked and unstable nation for 20 years now, but now they will be transferring command of existing military bases to national forces led by the Afghan president. In addition to the United States, all other NATO forces involved in the war in Afghanistan will be withdrawn from the country. The U.S. government expects that these troops will be…

Americans are used to the existence of cars on the road. Ever since industrialist Henry Ford cheapened the cost of his manufactured Model T, the automobile, a vehicle made with four tires, steel shells and a steering wheel, instantly became the favorite of American citizens and countryside. The U.S. currently has 276 million registered vehicles, meaning that almost every person in this country has a car.

For Gregory Shill, a law professor at the University of Iowa, the prevalence of vehicles in the United States certainly means freedom of movement, but this freedom of movement also imposes an obligation on…

As president, Donald Trump had pursued grueling restrictions on immigration, particularly against undocumented immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers at the southern border during his four years. His series of policies have not only been criticized domestically and internationally, but have also radically changed the landscape of American society in the face of immigration issues. Due to his explicit cruelty on the border issue, thousands of families are separated, and riots have broken out in detention centers run by private prison companies.

When Biden was running for president, he made changing and repealing Trump’s immigration policies a key part of his…

Learning lessons is the first step of making crucial transformations for anti-Asian crime to not be unaccounted for ever again.

It’s difficult to write while steeped in disappointment and anger, but those were justified feelings when we hear the tragic, yet unsurprising story of eight people, six of them are Asian women, were being murdered by a self-proclaimed white evangelical “sexual addict” who believes his privilege yields him the power to take away the lives of others. His actions were perhaps the most deadly, most explicit, and most terrifying instance of the continuously rising incidents of anti-Asian hate crimes that had risen since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout America, From California to New York, we have seen public…

Recently, Britney Spears’ ongoing struggle for control over her life has moved from the realm of hardcore fans to the attention of the broader public. For many who care about the development of the story of the most famous icon of American female pop music, it is not for the entertainment value of her battle with her father over the conversatorship that enthralls them, but because what she is going through is a exemplar of the fight for freedom across the world.

In 2008, Britney lost custody of her two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline and was ordered by…

Some lawmakers in China want to mitigate feminization and re-educate the boys with values of “yanggang spirit”, or virile masculinity. To respond to that appeal, China’s Department of Education recently formally replied a proposal with the name Proposal to Prevent the Feminization of Male Adolescents.

In the reply, the Department approved the notion that male adolescents in the country requires re-education on traditional, masculine values, and recommended an increase in teaching physical education classes. As this reply signifies the possibility that educating virile masculinity might become a more integral part of the future education in China, many people who have…

After Wayne Lapierre, a former conservative political consultant, became the executive vice president and CEO of the National Rifle Association, it became the most powerful weapons publicist in the United States and the world. Although technically a nonprofit organization, this 150-year organization, which initially operated under the name of weapons safety entered the political arena early on and, in the midst of America’s rampant gun violence epidemic, has become the best official excuse of the government for failing to change the status quo. …

On November 7, the dust settled on the Presidential election that lasted four days. Within twenty minutes, ABC, CNN, Fox, NBC, MSNBC, Associated Press and CBS, which were responsible for observing the election, announced at around 11:24 PM EST that the Democratic presidential candidate, 77-year-old Joseph R. Biden Jr., had won the election and would become the 46th President of the United States. Meanwhile, the incumbent president, facing a grim pandemic of more than 100,000 confirmed cases a day and no beds in several state’s hospitals, is venting his frustrations on his own golf course.

That man, Donald Trump, who…
